Jack London's Alaska: A Literary Travelogue

Come experience the beauty and ruggedness of Jack London's Alaska, its vastness as well as its great diversity, viewing majestic Mt. McKinley to listening to a glacier calving in Kenai Fjords National Park. You will take a trip down the Inside Passage and take an in-depth look a the gold rush town of Skagway and the Trail of '98.

Tot Time

For children ages 12-36 months. Tot Time features exciting stores, finger plays, songs and puppet activities appropriate for our littlest library users. Each session ends with play time. It's never too early to begin nurturing the joy of reading!

Preschool Story Hour

For children ages 2-5. Story Hour features stories, songs, finger plays, crafts and snacks. A great way to foster pre-reading skills, listening skills, an increased attention span, excitement about reading, and a love of the library!

Dig Into Reading: Our Earth, Can You Dig It?

Join the Kalamazoo Nature Center as they dig deep into the world beneath our feet. Meet earthworms, roly poly pill bugs, and their soil neighbors. Dig deep into what makes soil and find deeply buried treasures.

After Hours Teen Party

After the library closes, the teens take over! There will be fod, board games, Wii games, crafts, music, a scavenger hunt and more! Teens attending the party must be registered Summer Reading Program participants.

Dig Into Reading: Kevin Kammeraad & Friends

Two artists, a cast of puppets, a variety of vignettes, a suitcase of songs, and a bundle of energy, all coming together to interact, invigorate and leave the audience feeling better than before!

Family Fun Night

Dig into some fun at your library! Families with preschool and elementary-aged children are invited to stop by the library community room any time between 5:30 and 7:00 p.m. to enjoy crafts, games, and other exciting activities.
