DESCRIPTION:During the autumn of 2004\, when digital camera technology was
  in its infancy\, Jen Selwa captured her first green aurora borealis. Just
  a few weeks later\, there was a multi-day G5 storm event and just her sec
 ond time photographing the aurora. It was the success of witnessing that e
 xperience that has led Jen to multiple pursuits over the previous two deca
 des in search of the elusive "rainbows of the night.”  Jen will have a c
 olorful slideshow from across the state of Michigan at various times and l
 ocations\, with stories behind every journey. She will also share basic ti
 ps on how to find a safe dark sky location and how to capture the aurora w
 ith your personal smartphone with some time for Q&A for participants. Join
  in and learn more about what has captured the passion behind the hundreds
  of thousands of our state's residents in recent years that now call thems
 elves "Michigan Aurora Chasers".
